Funeral Services for Gloria Jean “Jeanie” Cuevas, age 85, of Perkinston, MS, who passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church.Visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery, Silver Run Community in Stone County under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Bro. Rick Moore will officiate the service.A native of Silver Run, MS, she was a Seamstress and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Jeanie was the pianist at Victory Baptist Church for over 45 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 devoted years, Morris Cuevas; parents, Joel Ladner and Mary Agnes Hudson-Davis Ladner; sister, Elnora Davis.Left to cherish memory are her daughter, Sandra C. (Reggie) Penton; granddaughter, Tabitha (Lincoln) Higdon; great granddaughter, Maren Annalee Higdon; “her son”, Brennan (Penny) Lee; sisters, Leola Harrell and JoAnn (Clifford) Ladner; numerous nieces and nephews.
