Gloria Grace Marrow George Bright, 87, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 surrounded by her family at Middlesex Hospital. Born on December 22, 1927 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Kirkpatrick and Loretta (Fields) Marrow. Gloria was married to B. Kerlie George in 1954 in Pennsylvania and from there they moved to Liberia, West Africa divorcing in 1963. Gloria remarried to Dr. Cyril A. Bright in 1964 in Monrovia, Liberia. In 1977, Gloria returned to the USA and resided in Middletown until the time of her death. She worked at the Wesleyan University Office of Admissions from 1977 to 1992 when she retired. From 1980 to 1998, she attended Middlesex Community College where she received several certificates and awards making the Dean’s List in 1989 (Age 62), 1990 (Age 63) and in 1992(Age 65).
