Gloria E. Alvarez was a caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. She left this earth on July 1, 2022, at the age of 78 years old surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles W. Alvarez. She is survived by her son Hugo Alvarez, her daughters JoAnn Blanco, Christina Stowell, Lupe Fitch, her son Charles W. Alvarez Jr., her daughters Gloria Thomson and Marie Martinez, 15 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
In her hometown of Azusa, California, Gloria was a devoted mother. She lovingly raised her seven children and worked for the Azusa Unified School District in the central kitchen.
Gloria loved life. She was caring, compassionate, generous, humble, and kind. Gloria touched the hearts of many. She lit up a room with her infectious smile and joyous laugh.
Gloria loved to spend time outside in her yard, whether working in her garden, or simply sitting on her swing enjoying the sunshine. Later in life she enjoyed watching her Dodgers with family and friends.
