Gloria D. ”Sis” Murdock Shelton, 63, Woodbridge, went to be with her Lord on June 11, 2006 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born February 6, 1943 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Woodbridge, Virginia. She lived in Anderson until 1968 and has been in Virginia for 25 years. She was a homemaker.
Gloria was a 1961 graduate of Madison Heights High School. She was a very affectionate pet owner and a loving mother, grandmother, wife and sister. Gloria was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Harry Shelton. Three Daughters: Paula Shelton, Kelly Shelton and Nicole Shelton all of Virginia. Mother: Bessie Edington Murdock. Siblings: Joe & wife Bette Murdock of Anderson, George W. & wife Carol Murdock of Katy, Texas, Patricia & husband Ron McClain of Anderson, Charles R. & wife Kathy Murdock of Texas and Mark K. & wife Francie Murdock of Anderson. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father: Chester Murdock. Brother: Frank Murdock. Nephew: Russell Murdock. Niece: Peggy Murdock. Aunt: Marie Keller. Father-in-law: Jack Shelton.
