Gloria Catherine Milliken (nee Kates), 90, of Glen Burnie passed away on September 4, 2013. Gloria was born on December 28, 1922 in New York City, NY. She attended school on Staten Island, NY and later graduated from Underwood-Elliott Fischer Business College with a degree in Accounting. Gloria worked for Church Home and Hospital in Baltimore as Director of Activities where she retired in 1987. She worked for several years at the North Arundel Convalescent Center. Gloria finally retired in 2002, at the age of 80, from Stitches With Design in Pasadena where she was the Bookkeeper/Office Manager. Gloria was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Oak Manor Road. She was also a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1176, AARP, Pascal Senior Center, American Legion Auxiliary #276, the Fenton Art Glass Collectors of America, and the National Society of Glass Collectors. Gloria also volunteered for several years at Baltimore Washington Medical Center where she is also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
