Gloria Jean Bergman was born September 29, 1927 in Des Moines to Peter and Bonnie (Tucker) Constant. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
Gloria was united in marriage with Bill Bergman on March 2, 1956 in Newton. They made their home on the farm, and were blessed with four children. Gloria was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Gloria passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at Hospice of Jasper County’s Monarch Wing. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Monty; and grandson, Andrew.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Bill; sons, Jack (April) Bergman of Baraboo, WI and Jim (Shannon) Bergman of Newton, IA; daughters, Toni (Doug) Gumbel of Polk City, IA and Tami Murphy of Baxter, IA; nine grandchildren: Tiffany, Thad, Joe, Jeff, Alex, Emily, Parker, Sydney and Adrienne; sister, Pat (Chester) Simpson; and nieces, Pat Thayer and Kathie Constant.
