Gloria Anderson Adams passed away on Easter Sunday, 4/1/18, with family at her side. Gloria was born on 2/13/24 in Stamford, CT. She grew up on Old Greenwich, CT. She was the youngest of five girls. It was while at Greenwich High School she started dating John C. Adams. Gloria and Jack married on 7/16/45 and were married for 51 years. Gloria had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed music. In high school, she won a writing contest that Truman Capote had also entered. She loved animals, and besides all the cats and dogs, she had a pet squirrel and brought up two racoons. She had a great sense of humor. Gloria volunteered for many and varied groups. Gloria was a wonderful wife and mother to her three children, Karen, Butch, and Bob. She was also a wonderful friend to many. She saw nothing but goodness in people.
Gloria is survived by her son Butch, daughter-in-law Pam, and their daughters Alison and Whitney. She is also survived by her daughter Karen, son-in-law Bob, and their daughter Lauren. Gloria was predeceased by her husband Jack, her son Bob, and her granddaughter Kristin Stevenson Metivier. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
