Gloria A. Zamora

September 2, 1934 – December 20, 2020

Gloria Zamora, age 86, went home to be with the Lord Sunday evening at Valley Baptist Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born September 2, 1934 in Harlingen, TX, daughter to Juan and Adela G. Longoria. She retired after many years of faithful service from Texas State Hospital-MHMR. Gloria was a devout catholic and lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she served as member of the Guadalupana Society, President of the Franciscanas and member of the church choir. Gloria also volunteered as a CCD teacher at her church for many years. She enjoyed getting together with her girlfriends and taking special trips on many excursions, but especially treasured supporting her grandchildren in all their activities.Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Galdino Zamora, six siblings, Amadeo Longoria, Raul Longoria, Alfredo Longoria, Oralia Garza, Celia Pesqueria and Rachel Kirkpatrick.She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her five children, Veronica Scott (Bruce), Leonard Zamora (Oralia), Martina Boen (Joseph), David Zamora and Richard Zamora (Rosa), 17 grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Leonard, Elizabeth, Michael, James, Josh, Erryn, Jacob, Amy, Amanda, Jennifer, Rose, Lilly, Violet, Jasmine and Freesia, Eight Great Grandchildren, her brother, Juan Longoria (Lydia) and sister, Frances (Russ) McCannon. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. “Thank you Anita Perea for being a friend to Mom”.
