Gloria A. Vining, age 91 passed away after a lengthy illness on August 30, 2018 at Brooksby Village Nursing Facility surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born in Merrimack, MA on January 20, 1927, she was the daughter of Romeo and Evelyn (Lemire) Dugas and was raised in Rochester NH. On November 29, 1942, Gloria and her husband William were married. The family later relocated to Malden, MA where she resided for 60 years and raised her 5 children. She was a talented seamstress and was employed for many years at Singer Sewing Machine in Malden. She was also a quilter making many beautiful quilts for her family. Gloria is survived by her husband William with whom she shared 75+ years or marriage. She is also survived by a son James and spouse Joanne of Middleton, a daughter Arlene and spouse Hugh Hairston of Celebration FL, son William and spouse Meredith of Templeton, MA, son John and spouse Laura of Haverhill, MA and daughter-in-law Mona Vining of Plymouth, MA. She was predeceased by brothers Terrence Dugas of Rochester, NH and Gerald Dugas of CA. Gloria was also predeceased by her son Dennis Vining of Plymouth, MA. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
