Glenna Ruth Holman Piel, 75, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2004. Glenna was born in Weslaco, Texas, on December 7, 1928, daughter of Maud Rachel Hudgins Holman and Calvin Edwin Holman. She graduated from high school in Weslaco and attended business school. She married Earnest James Ford in 1949 and moved to Oklahoma City, then to Houston. They had three children, Jenevieve, Peggy, and James. She later married Jack Thomas Williams in 1958 and they had one child, David Jack. After Jack died, Glenna married Louis Piel on June 11, 1975. Glenna worked at Dow Chemical Company for more than 20 years and retired to Boerne in 1983. She and Louis lived in Shadow Valley for 20 years, where they were active participants in the community.
