Glenna Pearl (Kyle) Flesner, age 85, of Centralia, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born January 28, 1931 in Effingham County, Illinois, daughter of Glen Kyle and Bessie (Dial) Kyle. She married Gerald Ross Flesner on September 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death in April of 1980.
Glenna is survived by four brothers: Lloyd Kyle and wife Nancy of Cottonwood, AZ, Ron Kyle and wife Sallie of Shumway, IL. Bill Kyle and wife Diane of Litchfield, IL, Joe Kyle and wife Kathy of Veedersburg, IN; three sisters: Irene Lewis of Decatur, IL, Bonnie Durbin of Pekin, IL, and Shirley Davis of Springfield, IL; Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Bessie Kyle, husband Gerald Ross Flesner, one sister Patricia Kyle, and one brother Royal Kyle.Glenna was a longtime resident of Centralia. She previously worked for the Green Grill in Centralia for 50 years.
Later in life she worked helping those in the Home Health Care and enjoyed taking care of people. She was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. She also enjoyed bowling. Her greatest interest was the happiness of her family. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
