Glenn Rondell Shaw, the son of Bennie “Theodore” Shaw and Mary “Snell” Shaw and the stepson of the late Rev. William Washington, was born December 14, 1964 in Amityville, NY.  He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge in Columbia, SC.

Glenn attended Amityville Public Schools in New York, and later relocated to SC in his adolescent years,  He graduated in 1983 from Holly Hill Roberts High School. He was well known by many as DJ Rockin “Ron” Shaw.  Glenn was a superior salesman throughout his lifetime.  He was known for his humor and tender personality.  He enjoyed being the life of the party and making people laugh.

On February 8, 1990, Glenn became the proud parent to the love of his life, DeAndra A. Shaw, also known as his “Big Buddy.” DeAndra was Glenn’s world.  He was always proud of his daughter and her accomplishments.  He often bragged to others proudly about her scholarly achievements.  He nuttured and loved her unconditionally.

He leaves to cherish his kind and loving memories: his beloved daughter, DeAndra Shaw; his mother, Rev. Mary S. Washington; three brothers, Theodore Shaw, the Rev. Wayne (Wendolyn) Shaw and Adrian (Jemimah) Scarlett; one sister, Diane Shaw; a very special friend, Norma Ann Brown, his Godmother, Lula (Robert) Cleckley, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
