Fairmount: Glenn S. Thornburgh, 84, died Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.

He was born in Upland, the son of the late Harrison and Bertha A. (Monroe) Thornburgh. He received his education in Upland. Glenn married Jane Warren on July 6, 1968, in Redkey. Mr. Thornburgh was the owner and operator of Woodside Motors Motorcycle Shop, Upland for many years and a lifetime member of AMA.

In 1953, he was instrumental in forming the Muddobbers Motorcycle Club and was one of the last founding members. He was a member of the Local 103 Operating Engineers, Ft. Wayne. He was also formerly self-employed as an antique dealer.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jane Thornburgh, Fairmount; a daughter, Sharon Clymer, Daleville; a brother Theldon Thornburgh, Eaton; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Thornburgh, three brothers, Theron Thornburgh, Clyde Thornburgh, and Lloyd Thornburgh, two sisters, Margaret Stover and Fayma Durnell.
