Glenn Junior Davidson was born March 21, 1926 to Glenn and Elsie (Haltom) Davidson, and passed away December 18, 2014.
As a young man, when work was hard to find, Junior traveled where he could find work. For several years, he traveled and picked peaches on his way to Washington State, where he picked apples.
In 1950, Junior was united in marriage to JoAnne Storm, and was blessed with 3 children: Wayne, Rita and Johnny.
Junior settled back in Chariton, IA, and farmed, delivered the Sunday Register in rural Chariton for 30 years, and at the same time drove a rural school bus route for Williamson School district for 20 years. For many years Junior was the manager of the Pester Gas Station located in Chariton. He also worked for the Hy-Vee Warehouse for over 18 years.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yvonne Davidson; and siblings: Maxine Compton, Betty Exley, and Bernard Davidson. He is survived by his kids: Wayne (Virginia) Davidson, Rita (Bill) Winsor, and Johnny (Kamie) Davidson; 5 grandchildren: Mary Jo, Amanda, Steven, Joshua and Samantha; and 4 great grandchildren: Zachary, Jackson, Aidan and Madison.
