Glenn I Preston, 84, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Passavant Area Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Jacksonville, the son of Clarence J. and Marie Bringle Preston. He married Katheryn I. “Kay” Farmer on June 7, 1952, in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Linda Lee Hill of Kansas City, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Virgil, Lawrence. Leonard, Wallace, and Warren Lee and Johnny, both in infancy.
Mr. Preston was a 1948 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had worked for Anderson Clayton and retired from AC Humko. Along with his wife, he owned Photography by Preston for 40 years.
Glenn was a member of Central Christian Church where he was a Youth Group Leader. He had also been a member of the Central Illinois Mustangs, the Goodtime Cruisers, Jacksonville Jaycees and the Jacksonville Elks Lodge.
