Glenn H. Lynn, 69, of Kinley Road, Old Lycoming Township, Williamsport, died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 16, 2011, following years of chronic illness and health problems.

Born July 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Carl U. and Jeanne E. (Pass) Lynn. He and his wife, the former Linda M. Maurer, celebrated their 47th anniversary in June.

Glenn was a graduate of Williamsport High School, class of 1960, and Lycoming College, class of 1964, and briefly attended McMaster University in 1965. He retired in 1997, having served over 32 years as a Labor Market Analysts for the State of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. While working for the State, he earned the People Who Care award twice. He was a hobbyist – he loved creating useful items in his workshop with wood and metal, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, target shooting and reloading ammo, bird watching and raising Koi fish. For many years, he was a “gentleman farmer” and enjoyed cruising the fields on his 1941 John Deere A tractor. He enjoyed refereeing and coaching AYSO soccer and for a brief period was Region 293 Soccer Commissioner. In his retirement years, you could always find Glenn in the garden on sunny days or behind his computer keyboard creating webpages for non-profit organizations, as well as his own, or doing research on any number of topics.  He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where he was very active until his health prohibited his participation.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Julie (Harry) Entz of the city, and two sons, Jeffrey (Shannon) of Tioga, and Jerry (Charissa) of South Williamsport. Five grand-children, Ethan, Hunter, Braeden, Kyleigh and Tucker. And his beloved rescued Greyhound, Eli.
