Glenn G. Watson, 86, of Freeport, died Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born March 13, 1925 in Freeport he was the son of Clarence and Vera (Kneller) Watson. He married Arlene VanRaden in 1949 and she died in 1995.Glenn was a Stephenson County farmer for many years. He left farming and worked at the Highland Community College for 17 years.He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Surviving are 2 sons, Roger Watson of Freeport and Ronald (Vicki) Watson of Lena; his grandchildren, Ronnie Watson of Pearl City, Amber and Andrew Watson both of Lena; 2 sisters, Maxine Lamm and Dorothy Ness both of Freeport; 3 brothers, Howard Watson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Carl (Jean) Watson of Roscoe, and Robert (Margie) Watson of Chicago; and his very close friend, Virginia Downs of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; infant son; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.
