Glenn Elbert Wiley, 93, of Lisle, formerly of Earlville, passed away at his home on Saturday February 19, 2022 surrounded by his family. Glenn was born on September 10, 1928 on a farm in Freedom Township to Elbert and Hazel (Shaw) Wiley.
He received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Illinois and later his Education Doctorate from Illinois State University. Glenn was a high school teacher for 10 years and later an administrator for 29 years. He married Margaret Metzler on January 28, 1951 in Ottawa. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Lisle and First United Methodist Church in Lockport. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; four children, Pam (Robert) Harshbarger of Naperville, Larry (Beckie) Wiley of Livermore, CA, Scott (Nancy) Wiley of Cape Coral, FL, and Dale Wiley of Menomonee Falls, WI; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Margaret Bauer and Rowena Bernard.
