Glenn Bartschi, 94, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his home in Montpelier.
He was born on May 29, 1923, in Georgetown, Idaho, to Frank Royal and Gwen Bacon
Bartschi. He grew up in Georgetown where he attended school, graduating from Georgetown High in
1941. While attending school, he enjoyed participating in sports, especially basketball where he was a star player.
After graduating from high school, he spent time working on the family sheep farm and then enlisted in the Army. He served in World War II at the Battle of the Bulge, and then was in the military police in Belgium and Germany.
