Muncie-Glendon Walton Sr., 79, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 28, 2011, following an brief illness at the Parkview Health Care Center of Muncie. He was born on March 14, 1932 in Richmond, Kentucky, the son of Luther and Flossie (Warford) Walton.           Glendon married the love of his life Betty Jo (Kisscaden) Walton on March 21, 1959 in Connersville, Indiana and she survives. Mr. Walton is a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, having served as a Private First Class with Battery “A” of the 35th Gun Battalion. Later, he worked as a Foreman and Equipment Operator for the Ben Ziegler Company now known as Omni Source. Glendon was a member of the American Legion Post #19 of Muncie. He was a professional “Tinkerer” and “Handyman”. Mr. Walton also enjoyed doing yard work, playing poker and other card games.

          Besides his wife of 52 years Betty Jo, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia “Pat” Loudene Walton, Denver, Colorado, Penny Walton, Muncie and Debra Arbow, Granbury, Texas; three sons, Glen Douglas Walton Jr., Rick O’Neal both of Muncie and Mike O’Neal, Hartford City; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; special family friends, Brenda and Donnie Morris, Muncie; One sister, Willa Mae McCarty, Palm Bay, Florida; two brothers, Rice Walton, liberty, Indiana and Nelson Walton, Louisville, Kentucky.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Emma Stevens and one brother, Ottis Walton.
