Glendola Clara Kibler, age 91, of Rensselaer passed away at the Jasper County Hospital June 21, 2012.

Glendola was a resident of Rensselaer for 9 years, having lived in Rose Hill, Illinois and Robinson, Illinois. She was born in Mattoon, Illinois on February 18, 1921 to J.P. and Sadie (Buttery) Tuggle.

Glendola was married for 60 years to her first husband, George Arthur Kibler who passed away in 2000. Her second marriage was in Rensselaer to Paul Zimmer who passed away in 2011. A retired seamstress, she worked for 20 years at Simmons Mattress Company, Munster, Indiana.

Glendola attended the First Presbyterian Church of Rensselaer. She enjoyed socializing at the Jasper County Senior Center, gardening and loved to paint.

Surviving are two children, Karol Kay Kibler, Monon, IN and George A. “Mike” Kibler; six grandchildren, Kathy Dye, Robert Henry, Alan Progar, Tammy Walczak, Michelle Fitts and Richelle Beard; 13 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husband, two sisters and one brother.
