Glenda M. Jordan, 81, of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away on February 13, 2022, at Porter Regional Hospital. Glenda was born in Eva, Alabama on February 5, 1941, the daughter of John Valentine and Madge (Oden) Chopps.
Glenda attended the Gary Public School System. She married the love of her life, Howard Jordan Jr., on June 6, 1959, in Portage, IN, and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2011. Glenda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.
Glenda was a homemaker, taking great care of her family and household. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, and she was an avid reader. Most important to her was church, time spent with her family, and especially her grandchildren. They were her whole world. Glenda will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Glenda is survived by her children, Gregory H. Jordan of Remington, IN, Kathy V. (Michael) Pedersen of Winfield, IN, and Michelle D. (Armando) Carrera of Rensselaer, IN; grandchildren, Amber, Rheannon, Heather, Gregory (Francis), Brittany, Danielle (Alessandro), Rachel, and Steven; dear neighbors, the Hopkins, Ciszar, and Yack families.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard, siblings, Joseph Chopps, Ann Sharp, Alice Roberts, Wanda Mullins, Grace Whitehead, Clyde Chopps, James Chopps, and Delilah Chopps, and a daughter, Sheila Jordan.
