Glenda Ray Hatchett, “Nana,” went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 23, 2020. She was 78 years old. She loved and was loved by everyone. She was Nana to all the children and their friends. She lived a sparkly and bedazzled life full of passion for all the creative arts especially floral design, decorating, and painting. After years of battling cancer, she finally won the ultimate battle and peacefully left this world surrounded by her family and her very best friend. She was the strongest and bravest person we ever knew. Our world will never be the same. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Hubert Ray Sinquefield and Lucille Franks Sinquefield and her brother-in-law, James “Buddy” McCullough. She was survived by her daughter and son-in-love, Kimberly and Steve Guthrie; her grandchildren, Heather and Kaleb Boykin and Faith Guthrie; her grandsons, Ethan and Gabriel Boykin; her sister, Shirley McCullough and niece and nephew, Lisa and Andy McCullough; her best friend and kindred spirit, Claudette Vogel. A lot of people were involved in the last years of Glenda’s life, so our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of her numerous doctors, nurses, caregivers, and friends. A special thanks goes to the hospice staff at Regency Southern Care for the kindness, compassion, and care during her last weeks and Dr McCravey who fought for her and without whom we would not have had the last eight years.
