Glenda Onstott gave her all to everything she did and yet always felt as if it cost her nothing. Her happy place was her garden where Glenda would use her green thumb to coax fragrant blossoms from the ground. When she was around, she made you feel valued and loved. When she made up her mind about something, that was the way it was going to be, end of discussion. Glenda was a multi-talented individual. She was an artist, and her art became the stage she used to show her gratitude for the life God had given her. She sang and played the guitar and loved Christian music. She was very passionate about animals. If an animal was in need, she was right there to help it. She had at least 10 dogs at any one time, but her favorites were Bobo and Dot. She was an athlete who loved swimming and playing softball. She played softball as teenager and continued playing in adult leagues. She even helped coach her granddaughter’s team. Glenda served others as a lifeguard, a vet tech, a housewife, and volunteer rescuer for dogs. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and bird watching. If it was jewelry, she liked it. In fact, she collected jewelry and when she wore it, she improved the looks of the gemstones.
Glenda met her spouse Patrick Onstott at a local watering hole around the corner from Cattlemen’s Restaurant in the Stockyards, and they were married for 37 amazing years. He unapologetically spoiled her rotten buying her anything she asked for. But he drew the line at buying her the dream car she had always wanted, a Jaguar. Together they raised one child who was loved like no other. There was nothing they would not do to prove their love for her. When the grandkids came along, they made sure their house was the place the children wanted to be. Glenda took pride in raising them with all the love and care she could. Missing someone is your heart’s way of reminding you that you loved them. There will be many hearts reminding many friends and family just how much they loved Glenda.

She also has many other family members who will miss her greatly. She is proceeded in death by her great granddaughter Elizabeth, her mother Mary, her stepdad Don, and her father Glenn.
It is possible for life to be the same after a trinket has been lost, but never the same after the loss of a treasure.
