Glen W. Burkhart, 64, of Washington passed away at 12:56am Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on August 26, 1952 in Taylorville the son of Glen A. and Sarah Gatlin Burkhart. He married Madlyn A. Cusimano on June 5, 1982 in Chicago.
Surviving are his wife, two sons Peter (Karen) Burkhart of Washington and Frank Burkhart of Metamora; three daughters LeeAnn Whitlatch of Marquette Heights, IL Crystal (Darryl) Waldrop of Washington and Michelle (Mark) DeSutter of Peoria. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandson along with two brothers David (Linda) Lass of Taylorville, IL and Robert (Betty) Oxford of Norris, City, IL; three sisters Carolyn Morrow of Wilmington, IL Anna McFall of Orlando, FL and Glenda (Richard) Severns of Washington, Il. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Glen was an honorably discharged U.S. Marine. He worked as a driver operator for Tazewell Towing for 30 years. He later worked and managed the “My Computer Geek” in Sunnyland last working in May of 2015.
