Glen R Standley, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 13, 2017, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Encompass Home Health.
Glen was born July 15, 1930, in Clark, Idaho, to Joseph Hyrum Standley and Lillie Viola Russell Standley, the sixth of eight children. He grew up in the Ammon area. He attended schools there, and worked at the Ammon Brick Yard until he was 18 years old, when he enlisted in the Army. After basic training, he went to Japan for seven months, then to the Philippine Islands for three years. He came home on furlough in September 1951.
