Glen Robert Hart, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 27th, 2021 at his home in Grand Junction. He was born on March 9,1954, the fourth of six children born to Wendell and Jeanne Hart in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Glen graduated from Grand Junction High School, Mesa State College, and the University of Utah earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Geology.
Glen was a piano tuner/rebuilder, master craftsman, and inventor. He apprenticed with his father and also trained in the Steinway piano factory in New York City. One of his prized accomplishments was a museum-quality rebuilt Steinway grand piano which he gold leafed, a trade he also learned in New York.
Glen invented and patented several piano repair tools that are mentioned in blogs and sold worldwide. He also was a gifted woodworker and built a beautiful home for Eileen.
Glen loved to learn, study, and was a devoted scriptorian. He was known for his sharp intellect, wit, and dry sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Alan. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughters Sarah Green, Becky Evans (Dan), and Amy Villeda (Henry); 13 grandchildren: Bailey, Ben, Lily, Brielle, Aubrey, Kate, John, Isaac, Enoch, Elijah, Eve, Mary, Levi; sister-in-law Chrystle Hart Wilbert (Alan), siblings Jan (Patricia), Kristine Puckett (John), Carol Cowgill (Steve), and Jeffrey (Ahrnee).
