Glen D. “JR” Reiger, Jr. 75 of Henderson, Tennessee formerly of Odin, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Jackson General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. JR was born March 24, 1938 in Sesser, the son of Glen D. Reiger, Sr. and Goldie Hazel (Story) Reiger.
He married Nancy Zehlman on December 16, 1961, in Sandoval, Illinois and she survives in Henderson, Tennessee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Alecia Baine and husband Martin of Henderson, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Renee Vandenberg of Alsip, Illinois, Martin Dee Baine and wife Jen of Steger, Illinois, Tracy Vandenberg and husband Tony of Monee, Illinois, Amber Baine of Henderson, Tennessee and Justin Baine and wife Jennifer of Henderson, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren: Alyssa Baine and Aiden Baine both of Steger, Illinois, Macie Baine, and Hunter Baine both of Henderson, Tennessee and Kayleigh Raczek of Monee, Illinois; three uncles: Lewis Storey of Odin, Illinois, Charles Bill Story and wife Clara of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Lonnie Reiger of Benton, Illinois; four aunts: Viola Werlinger of Benton, Illinois, Kitty Bell Santuary of Whiting, Indiana, Irene Newell, and Dorothy Lipe both of Sesser, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Ramona (Reiger) Lee.
“JR” served in the U.S. Marines from 1958 to 1961. He was a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge. He enjoyed Karaoke and fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
