Glen H. Kiefer, 81, Huntington, IN passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Mr. Kiefer was born on July 21, 1930, in Huntington to Frank and Opal Brenneman Kiefer. His parents preceded him in death. He married Shirley M. Nave May 8, 1953, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington. She survives in Huntington.
Glen retired from the pressroom at General Tire in Wabash, IN. Mr. Kiefer was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington. He served in the United States Navy. In addition to his wife, Glen is survived by: one son, Jim Kiefer, Huntington; two daughters: Lori (Rory) Reed, Huntington and Kristi (Marc) Bercot, Huntington; one brother: Tom Kiefer, Huntington; three sisters: Esther Warkentien, Huntington, Chaltha Taylor, Huntington and Theresa Davis, Columbia City; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Edward Kiefer; one daughter: Sheila Raye Kiefer; seven brothers: George Kiefer, Dick Kiefer, Hank Kiefer, Joe Kiefer, Harry Kiefer, Matt Kiefer and Bob Kiefer; and two sisters: Betty Kiefer and Mary Lucille Karst.
