Glen Franklin Whisman, age 79, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his home.
Born July 15, 1937, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Earnest and Shrilda Whisman Davis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Whisman, Harold Cadle Whisman and Charles David Whisman, and two sisters, Ina Mae Plank and Mary Francis Hamm.
Glen is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen Rigdon Whisman, whom he married October 13, 1960; one son, Jerry (Renita) Whisman of Morehead; one daughter, Linda (Raymond) Bryant of Paris; five grandchildren, Christopher Todd Bryant, Timothy Ross (Amanda) Bryant, Jacob Glen Bryant, Derrick Allen (Cassie) Whisman, and Tracy Lynn (Jared) Whisman; and two great grandchildren, Andrew Ross Bryant and Ray Lynn Stephens.
