Glen Elwood Eggleston, Age 90, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Foothill, 401West Ada Avenue, Glendora, California of natural causes. He was living at Atria Rancho Park, 801 Cypress Way, San Dimas, California 91773. Born August 20, 1923, Salt Lake City, UT of parents Wilford Elwood Eggleston and Maren Caroline Eggleston with older brother Elwood Leland Eggleston (living). He married June Merlene Smith on March 3, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served honorably in the Naval Officer during WWII as an officer on an ammunition ship. He earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and worked 30 years at Douglas Aircraft Company. Glen lived about 50 years in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Glen is survived by Steve Wilford Eggleston (Son), San Diego, California married to Ericka Eggleston with grandchildren: David Eggleston, Jacob Eggleston (wife Valeria Eggleston), Dawnmarie McFarlane (husband Steve McFarlane), Rose Pratt, Joy Eggleston and Great-grandchild Ryan McFarlane.
Glen is Survived by Janene Maren Petersen (Daughter), Glendora, California, married to Brad Petersen, with grandchildren: Autumn Hatch (husband Thomas Hatch), Amber Proctor (husband Keith Proctor), Matthew Petersen (wife Bethany Petersen). Great-grandchildren are Camden Hatch, Abby Hatch, Brighton Hatch, Brooklin Hatch, Darrin Proctor, Jacob Proctor, Alyssa Proctor, and Ethan Proctor.
Glen is survived by Linda Denise Smith (Daughter), Grand Prairie, TX, married to Richard Smith, with grandchildren Denise Davila, Michelle Smith, and Andrea Smith. Great-grandchild Zella Davila.
His beloved wife June Merlene Eggleston passed away on Oct. 14, 2009.
