Glen Earl Meligan, 83

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Glen Earl Meligan, 83, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away December 20, 2018 at the family home of Kingston.  He was born May 27, 1935 in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota; Glen was the son of Homer and Burnice (Jones) Meligan.

Glen attended schools in Minnesota, Cataldo, Kingston and Kellogg.  He moved to the Silver Valley in 1948 from Minnesota.

Glen married Zelda Hollingsworth on June 9, 1957 in Kellogg, Idaho.

Glen had first worked for the Bunker Hill Mining Company for ten years.  He was a wonderful baker and had owned and operated the Kellogg Bakery for two years and then went to work for the Pik Kwik bakery of Kellogg.  Glen then entered the building construction business, working for the McKim Kiser Company and for Blair Gosline.  He then owned and operated the Fairway Glen Bakery of Pinehurst for six years, which was well known throughout the Valley, for their wonderful baked goods and maple bars.  Glen then entered the logging industry and worked for the Avery Logging Company for several years; he then retired due to a logging accident.

Glen is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Zelda Meligan of the family home of Kingston; four children Kathy and Mark Sauer of Kingston; Roger and LaVaun Meligan of Anaconda, Montana, Nina and Tom Sauer of Kingston; LaVena Towles of Oldtown, Idaho and Hugh Towles of Post Falls, Idaho; nine grandchildren nine great-grandchildren; one sister Lois Price of Corvallis, Oregon; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Glen was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters Wayne, Millie, Geri, Loran, Lora, Vern and Eugene.

Glen was a very beloved and special man who will be so very much missed by many.
