Glen Edward Reed, 72, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 of natural causes. Glen was born in Boise to Sandy Reed and Treola Louise Chaffin on November 11, 1945. He graduated from High School in St. Maries, Idaho and shortly after joined the Marine Corps and did two tours in Vietnam. He received three Purple Hearts among many other honors. Glen returned here to the valley and worked in Auto Body Repair. He spent several years in Oatman, Arizona where he worked as a Paramedic and Firefighter. He also worked as a Gun Slinger putting on shows for tourists.
Glen is preceded in death by his father, Sandy Reed Sr.; wife, Mitzi Melendrez; two sisters, Myrna Shaw and Anna Jones; three brothers, Dale Reed, Walter and William Smith. He is survived by his mother, Treola Louise Smith, step-father, Walter Smith; two daughters, Marci Page and Melissa Kirk; stepdaughter, Michelle Hardinger; five Grandsons, Richard and Ryder Mervin, Levi Smith, Hunter Kirk, and Wyatt Foster; six brothers, Floyd Reed, Earl Reed, Sandy Reed, Wayne Reed, Robert Smith and Leonard Hurd. He has two sisters, Ellen Russo and Randean Rex. Glen has 26 nieces and nephews, 38 great nieces and nephews, 19 great- great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great -great nephews.
