Gleason Anthony Carlini passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” Braud Carlini. He was the son of the late Avenel Luke Carlini and Mary Berthelot Carlini. Brother of Alvee Carlini, Cynthia Carlini Koch, and the late Gerald Carlini and Avenel Carlini, Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Amy Carlini Fiore (Charles) and Elizabeth “Beth” Carlini Sawyer (Marc). He was a loving Grandfather to Caroline and Colin Fiore, and Emma and Aidan Polischak. He also had many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Mr. Carlini was born and raised in New Orleans and attended Nicholls High School. He was an avid lover of airplanes and flying. Gleason served in the Air Force and the Air National Guard. He served during the Korean Conflict in the 122nd Bomb Squadron. He was a member of the 122nd restoration group at Jackson Barracks for many years, rebuilding and restoring planes and helicopters. Gleason worked for the Lakefront Airport, NOPSI, and the USDA. He was an active parishioner of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, and a Parishioner at St.
