Gladys Marie Mahan, 73, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Kuna.
Gladys was born on October 23, 1942, in Boise, to Paul and Hazel (Isgar) Hale. In 1964, Gladys married her true love Clayton and they had 2 girls: Liz and Cathy. During their early years, Mom taught Dad how to fish and hunt, which became their passion. Mom loved to fish, usually out fishing whoever she was with.
Gladys and Clayton fulfilled a dream of owning their own boat store: M&C Marina. Gladys also loved to travel and share her adventures with her family.
Mom’s greatest joys were her grandchildren. She loves them very much and will continue to watch over them.
Always thinking of others, Mom knitted blankets for St. Luke’s preemies and scarves for the Special Olympic Athletes. Worried her hands would give out, she cross stitched and knitted baby blankets for her future great-grandchildren.
Gladys Marie Mahan, Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend, will be greatly missed. Although we would love to keep her here with us, it was time to share her again with her husband Clay (Dad). We love you!!
Gladys is survived by her two daughters: Elizabeth Mick of Kuna and Cathy Packham (Jeffrey) of Kuna; Five grandchildren: Cameron and Brittney Packham, Tyler and Sara Mick, and Justin Elliot (Tasha) all of Kuna; Five great-grandchildren: Kailee, Aaliyah, Ryleigh, Bailey and Kaden; one sister: Paulette Gibbons (Ken); and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clayton C. Mahan.
