Gladys Maggeline Sierras left this world on Saturday February 6, 2021.
She was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Gladys was born to John and Ruby Morris on May 8th 1934 in Marlow Oklahoma. When she was 10 years old the family moved to California and eventually settled in Modesto. While in high school Gladys was on the drill team and played center on the basketball team.
Gladys enjoyed traveling and lived all over the United States. While living in Dallas, Texas, she met and married Richard “Dick” Sierras. They had one daughter, Maggie.
Gladys was the “Cookie Mom” for her granddaughter’s Girl Scout Troop. She arranged and managed cookie booths and helped the girls sell their cookies. “Her girl” won “Highest average boxes sold per girl” 2 years in a row thanks to her dedication and help. This was one of her proudest accomplishments.
Gladys is preceded in death by her mother, father, sisters Ceclia “Pat Carter,” Ruby Adams, and brother John “Bud” Morris.
She leaves behind her daughter Maggie Sierras-Trotts, Grand daughter Arika Trotts and 2 great-grandsons Tristan and John Wesley Haggard.
