Gladys Maxine Saba, 82, passed away of natural causes on Thursday, October 30, 2014 in a local care center.
Gladys was born April 27th, 1932 in Fairbury, NE, to Charles and Vesta Rice. She was the youngest of 7 children. She proudly graduated from high school in San Bernardino, CA. A few years later, she married Carl Gray. They had three children: Jerri, Wesley, and Carla. They later divorced.
In 1981 she married Victor J. Saba. They resided in the San Diego area until 2006 when they moved to Caldwell.
Gladys moved into the Beehive Assisted Living facility in Star, ID as an 81st birthday present to herself. She made friends with everyone. She enjoyed telling her life stories and making people laugh. She knitted and crocheted and gave her work to nearly everyone she met. She loved to help people and she loved to share. She was in the process of writing a book about her life because she “had a lot to tell”.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Victor and daughter Jerri.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beehive Homes and Heart ‘n Home Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
