Gladys Mae Bell, 95, resident of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown.
Born July 1, 1921 at home near Emmitsburg, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Allen Edward and Emma Louisa (Stonesifer) Bollinger. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, C. Harold Bell in 2000.
Gladys worked for years at Cambridge Rubber in Taneytown, then for Westminster Knit until her retirement at the age of 70. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown, and was a member of the Hesson-Snider Post #120 Auxiliary of the American Legion in Taneytown.
She was predeceased by sisters, Doris Rock, Mildred Wallick and husband Dennis; and by brothers, Harold Bollinger and wife Margaret, William Bollinger, Paul Bollinger and wife Irene, and Roy Bollinger; sister-in-laws, Phyllis and Phyllis Bollinger; step-granddaugher, Lora McKinney Harver.
