DURHAM- Mrs. Gladys Lural Davis Ferrell, 93, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Mrs. Ferrell was born September 17, 1926 to the late John and Bertha Davis in Cumberland Co., NC. Mrs. Ferrell was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading the newspaper. She enjoyed trips to White Lake and Emerald Isle. Mrs. Ferrell will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Mrs. Ferrell is preceded in death by her husband, Zannie “Max” Ferrell; parents, John and Bertha Davis; brothers, Harry Lee Davis (Elsie), Wilber Davis (Jo), Glenn Davis (Yvette); sister, Lettie Lou Merritt.
Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her sons, Ronald Wesley Ferrell (June), Robert Alan Ferrell; daughters, Lisa Tilley (Wayne), Donna Ferrell and Debbie Ferrell Ball (T.P.); brothers, John Wesley Davis, Jr. (Martha), Bobby Davis (Patricia), Donald Davis (Brenda), Ken Davis (Shirley Hayes); sister, Dorothy Denny; grandchildren, Davis Ferrell, Devan Ferrell, Lindsey Tilley Blackwell (Lee) and Sadie Ferrell.
