Gladys J. Carr, 93, a former lifelong resident of Anderson, IN passed away on April 15, 2016, at her granddaughter Emmalee Abel’s home in Indianapolis. She was born on June 12, 1922, in Alred, Tennessee.
She loved springtime and the flowers that came with the season. She enjoyed watching and feeding squirrels, walking, cheeseburgers, sugar cream pie, and spending time with her family. Gladys is survived by her children, Maudean Abel, Larry Carr, Mary Jane Norton, Tammy (Neal) Brandon, Sharlene Cunningham, grandchildren, Tracey Carr, Greta Wingler, Libby Beeson, Shane Wingler, Jason Wingler, Emmalee Abel, Richard Carr, Lois Carr, Neal Brandon, Sarra Brandon, and Rebekkah Brandon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Carr, son, Howard Carr, granddaughter, Lori Carr, grandson, Adam Abel, sons-in-law, Larry Cunningham, Ken Abel, and Dale Norton, daughter-in-law, Kathy Carr, siblings, Latta Copeland, twin sister Lydia “Bit” Carr, Walter Davis, Estel Davis, Ira Davis, and Cecil Smith.
