On Saturday, January 23rd, Heaven gained the most beautiful angel. Gladys Hannah Faver died unexpectedly at the age of 71, at Piedmont Newnan, leaving behind her beloved husband of 54 years, David, her only daughter Tina Neely Brown, and her 3 grandchildren Jackson, Hannah & Elizabeth Neely whom she loved more than the world.
The most giving, selfless and hardworking person. There was no greater love than that she had for her husband, daughter, grandchildren and family. Strong, healthy and full of joy, she was always giving and doing for others before herself. After overcoming a very difficult fight with breast cancer, she went on to live her 14 more years of life to the absolute fullest. Extra years given to her that she showed so much appreciation by loving and giving to others. The backbone of the family, she will be so greatly missed by so many – as she was loved by all that knew her.
Born June 16, 1949 to the late Christine and Alton Hannah in Brooks, Georgia. Gladys was one of 8 children. At the age of 16, Gladys met the love of her life, David. After graduating from East Coweta, the high school sweethearts married in 1966 and had just celebrated their 54th anniversary this past December. Their only daughter, Tina was born in 1974. Spending almost every day with her & even living on the same property for the past 22 years to be closer to her and her grandchildren.
Gladys worked as an office manager at Gas Inc. for 31 years, later fully enjoyed her retirement and good health by enjoying her days side by side with her husband, daughter, grandchildren and family. Gladys was a lover of gardening, cooking and jack of all trades. Gladys was always working on a project and always willing to lend a hand to help. Her greatest joy in her life was her family. For those of who were lucky to know her as wife, Mama, Maw-Maw, sister, friend and Aunt Gladys- they were truly blessed- as she loved like no other.
