Gladys E. “Rebel” Walker, 95 of La Salle, died at 1:30 am July 24, 2015 in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Mrs. Walker was born November 19, 1919 in Ivor, South Hampton County, VA to George Wiley and Emma (Mitchell) Gay. She married Harry Martin Walker on November 12, 1945 in California, where the couple spent most of their married life. Rebel was retired from the Bank of America.
The Walkers moved to La Salle in 2008 and are survived by nieces and nephews, including Robert (Alice) Westbrook and their children Katy and Matthew and her faithful companion Pumpkin.
Rebel is preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2011, four brothers and one sister.
