Okeechobee – Gladys “Betty” Bostrom went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 19, 2021. She was born on January 8, 1929, in Muskegon, Michigan to Louis Scheel and Amalie Purat. A resident of Okeechobee since 1993 and was a member of Oakview Baptist Church. She loved to go to church, Bible study, collect fine china, and Depression glassware.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kurt Bostrom; parents, Louis and Amalie; sisters, Margaret, Marion, Irma, Ruth; brothers, Charles, William, Albert; and niece, Betty.
She is survived by her brother, John Scheel; 18 nieces and nephews; and innumerable nieces and nephews.
