Mr. Giuseppe “Joe” Matozzo, 83, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 28, 2014, surrounded by his family. Giuseppe was happily married for 59 years to his loving wife, Josephine (Calabretta) Matozzo, whom he leaves behind.
Giuseppe was born on March 19, 1931, in Satriano, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy, son of the late Giuseppe and Barbara (Nocita) Matozzo. Prior to immigrating to Waterbury on March 31, 1958, Giuseppe worked in the logging industry and served in the Italian Military.
