Giuseppe “Joe” Galati, 85, of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at home. Born in Palermo, Italy, he lived in Staten Island, NY before moving to Berkeley T wp. 15 years ago. Joe worked in Construction as a member of the Mason-Tender Union Local 79, New York for 23 years, retiring in 1979. He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.
Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years Maria (nee Fragiglio), a son and daughter in law Peter & Patricia Galati of Manalapan, NJ, 2 daughters and sons in law Maria & John Formisano of Staten Island, NY and Rosalia & Vincent Calarco of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, and 7 grandchildren Peter Joseph, Andrew, Victoria, Alyssa, Vincent, Jennifer & Nicholas. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
