Ginette Jean was born April 8, 1952, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to the late family of Julian Pierre and Odalie Jean.  She goes by the nickname “Lejou”.  It was in Port-au-Prince; she also completed her studies and education.  Shortly thereafter, she began her teaching career in her hometown of Cabaret.

Ginette was a staunch believer in Christ and a mighty warrior in prayer.  She gave all her children a Bible at birth.

Ginette was a true example of those who believe in God’s grace.  Sometimes, she also directed prayer lines and preaching.  She is a person who loved all her family, always raising them in prayer and especially when it was their birthday, she always asks God to bless them all.  Ginette never wavered a moment without thanking Jesus her Savior, and she was always ready to glorify God’s name in whatever circumstances she encountered in her life.  A message she always used to say, “You don’t know how long you have to live on this earth, so now is the time to find God.”

On March 17, 2022, Jesus called Ginette to return to her.  Ginette left behind 4 children, the first is Osnald Jeanmarie, the second is Patrick Nelson, the third is Madeleine Jeanmarie and the last is Peterson Jeanmarie.

Her grandchildren:  Isaiah Jean-Marie, Deion Nelson, Makayla Bien-Aime, Ethan Nelson, Nathan Nelson, Tyler Jean-Marie, Chase Nelson, and Skye Rose Jean-Marie.

Her siblings: Yvrose Oscar, Micheline Darcelin, Marie Nicole Pierre, Marie Altidor, Jaqueline Pierre, and Gabby Pierre, Bernard Apollon, Idette Pierre, Rose Pierre, Vivian Despa, Carline Lolo, Wilda Pierre, Marie N. Pierre, Luckner Jean Baptiste, Cedrone Pierre

Nephews and nieces:  Chrisler Altidor, Dukens Nelson, Denold Nelson, Smith Juste, Michard Pierre, Jean Rugby, Beethoven Darcelin, Alix Lazarre, Anan Oscar, Judalie Michel, Jowarna Zamor, Patricia Lamarre, Nurva Oscar, Pierrette Darcelin, Monie Pierre, Fresna Pierre, Nadine Pierre, and Daphney Matelus.
In-laws: Rose Innocent, Marla Theluscat, and Andy Bien-Aime

Ginette was a vibrant soul who loved her family and was happy in the Lord.  She was a servant of God and remained steadfast in her faith to the end.  One of the things Ginette wanted to see accomplish in her life was that she always prayed to God for all her family, especially her children to dedicate their lives to Jesus.  Even though it did not happen while he was still alive, I believe she is still begging God where she is right now to perform this miracle.  May God bless her soul, her children, and her grandchildren as well as all her family, friends, sisters, and brothers.
