Gilman Joseph Cyr, 76, of Plainville, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 22, 1934 in Madawaska, ME, son of the late Alphonse and Martha (Michaud) Cyr. He was raised in Maine, and joined the military shortly after graduation from high school. He proudly served his country with the U.S.
Along with his wife, Jacqueline, he leaves his daughter Denise of Plainville; his son Gregory and his wife Judi of Bristol and their two sons Andrew and Nicholas; his granddaughter Christina of CA and her four children. He also leaves three sisters; Loretta and her husband Nelson Cote of Enfield; Julie and her husband Guy Gosslin of Meriden; and Claudette and her husband Maurice Nadeau of Lewiston, ME; two brothers; Reginald and his wife Marie Ann, and Clarence, all of Madawaska, ME, along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Michael.
