Gilman DuBois of Bristol, CT age 83 passed away peacefully at New Britain General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 11, 2009.

Gilman was born in Frenchville, ME and is survived by Mildred (Lainey) DuBois, his devoted wife of 64 years, his daughters, Patricia Bakaysa, Nola Miller, Jacqueline Belanger, Michele DuBois and his son Philip.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kendra Carney, Kim Benane, Paul Manwaring III, Michael Bakaysa, Jr., Eric Belanger, Jacqueline DuBois, Kayla DuBois, Philip DuBois Jr. and great-grandchildren; Josh and Nathan Carney, Michael and Maryssa Bakaysa, Luke Benane and Lily Manwaring. He also leaves behind son-in-laws; Mike Bakaysa, Charlie Miller, Ron Belanger and daughter-in-law Laura DuBois.

Gilman was a long time resident of Bristol and the founder of Gil’s Drywall Supplies in Plainville, which allowed him the luxury of a winter home in Florida and the ability to travel the world.  He was a member of St.

Gilman was raised on a farm and developed strong family ties which he carried on through his life.  He was always there for his family and his friends. He was truly happy when he made people smile and for this he will be dearly missed. As Gil often said 5:00 AM…NO PROBLEM!
