Gilberto S. Zamora, 88, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. He was born April 10, 1932 in Mexico to Silvestre and Guadalupe Castillo De La Fuente. Gilberto was retired after 20 years of employment with the RGV Sugar Mill. He also worked as a farmer who enjoyed fishing, fixing electrical devices, and landscaping.
Gilberto is preceded in death by his daughter, Enedelia Salinas; granddaughter, Rosario Zamora; and his parents.
Left to cherish his beautiful memory is his loving wife of 70 years, Maria Santos H. Zamora; children, Gilberto Zamora Jr. (Delia), Francisco Zamora (Gracie), Ester Zamora, Carlos Zamora, Carmen Hernandez, Reynaldo Zamora (Mary), Mariana Zamora (Tony), Minerva Zamora, and Charlie Zamora; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alicia De La Fuente Soto and Celia De La Fuente Soto; 2 brothers, Desiderio Zamora and Cesar De La Fuente; and numerous nephews and nieces.
