Gilbert N. Truedsson, 76 of Bayville, NJ died on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Before retiring he worked as a Menswear designer for several companies including his own, Swedish Fashion Group in New York City, NY where he received a COTY award in 1979 for Footwear and 2nd nomination for Tailored clothing. In his earlier years Gilbert was a competitive skier and a past Junior Champion in Stamford, Conn. He was an avid golfer, cyclist, and lover of his dogs Nikki and Teddi.
Predeceased by his daughter Heidi. Gilbert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Joanna (Nicholls), two daughters Samantha Truedsson and Amanda Denton and sister Diane Jugy.
